In road.cc, every product has been thoroughly tested, as long as you can correctly understand its working conditions. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists and we believe they are objective. Although we strive to ensure that the opinions expressed are supported by facts, the comments are essentially an informed opinion, not a final ruling. We will not deliberately try to destroy anything (except locks), but we do try to find any weaknesses in the design. The total score is not just the average of the other scores: it reflects the function and value of the product-the value depends on how the product compares with items of similar specifications, quality, and price.

Good grades are more common than bad, because fortunately good products are more common than bad.

The Fr3nd classic T-shirt is an excellent casual top that works well both on and under the bicycle. The slim fit is very good and feels very soft on the skin. It has good air permeability and will never emit a bad smell, but because the fabric dries very slowly, it is not suitable for high-intensity exercise.

In the field of cycling—or indeed any type of fitness field—undershirts are often made of synthetic fibers or merino wool. Personally, I use the former because I find that merino sheep-even the best quality things-are itchy and uncomfortable.

Fr3nd’s classic T-shirt is made from a blend of Tencel (an environmentally friendly fabric made from sustainably sourced wood) and bamboo. Both have excellent activity characteristics, natural ventilation, antibacterial and good heat regulation.

I found that this T-shirt is also very soft, unlike merino wool. Whether in the office, gym or on a bicycle, it is very comfortable to wear. You don't really notice that you are wearing a "performance" fabric.

I found it to be a good fit too-it is slim, but not tight (although I have a slightly slimmer figure), and the length of the arms and body are also very suitable, even for tall people. It comes in small, medium, large, XL and XXL sizes, as well as navy blue (tested), gray, winter white and black.

It can also easily absorb sweat, pull the sweat away from the body and immediately evaporate from the material, and it will never smell. I have worn it for a few weeks without washing, and it still smells like new.

However, this is definitely not a high-intensity activity. I wore it during a quick ride at lunch time. I wore a sweatshirt and a thin warm jacket. After an hour of riding, it was almost completely drenched with sweat. To make matters worse, I put it on a drying rack in a warm room to dry, and it was still damp after about six hours.

> Buyer's Guide: Best Casual Cycling Commuter Wear

It is worth pointing out that in my sweaty experience, the performance of the Merino wool T-shirt is also the same. Unlike synthetic materials, it gets wet and takes a long time to dry. The difference is that when Merino wool gets wet, it does retain the warmth of the body to a certain extent.

Personally, I have never looked back since I started using synthetic mesh base layers (such as this one from Albion Cycling), but I appreciate things you might want thicker winter wear.

The Fr3nd Classic T-shirt is not designed for this kind of duty-it is definitely more suitable for casual use, so it works very well.

Other casual short-sleeved options suitable for cycling and cycling include 7Mesh Desperado Merino Henley. Remember, it's expensive, and critic Steve found that it was itchy on the skin and dries slowly. I suspect that this T-shirt is not designed to be saturated with sweat during high-intensity riding.

And Sharp! Men's Merino SS bottoming shirt looks stylish and soft, but the critic Sean did not mention the drying time. Nevertheless, it is more like a leisure option than the base layer of hard-core road cycling.

Both T-shirts are more expensive than Fr3nd's Classic T-Shirt, which makes me think this is a better choice.

Super soft, breathable and very fit, this is an ideal casual bottoming shirt for cycling and cycling

Tell us the purpose of the product

Fr3nd said: "Welcome to your favorite new T-shirt. Our Classic T-shirts are made of tailored high-performance fibers that can dry super fast. At the same time, they use luxurious and sustainable Tencel/bamboo fiber blended fabric to make you own The best T-shirt ever.

Our customized fabrics are naturally cool, sweat-absorbent and fast-drying. They are ideal for year-round wear. They are also ideal T-shirts for you to wear when you bike to work, run, travel or even go to the gym.

Tencel has a super luxurious feel. It is twice as soft as cotton. It is sustainable and biodegradable. It is naturally antibacterial. It will keep you cool and odor-free even after strenuous exercise or fast cycling to work. The content of bamboo is also sustainable and biodegradable, which helps to absorb moisture, wick away sweat and dry.

Compared with cotton, our tried-and-tested Tencel/Bamboo blend fabric is very strong, wrinkle-resistant, has a longer service life, and can withstand repeated washing and drying.

Our classic T-shirts are tailored with modern tailoring, with slightly longer sleeves, a low-key neckline, and detailed zigzag topstitching to create the best T-shirts in the world. "

Tell us more about the technical aspects of the product?

Size S/M/L/XL/XXL

A truly high-quality dress.

Good breathability and comfort, but more suitable for low-intensity exercise.

After a month of use and several washings, it still looks very new, so there is nothing to worry about, but it is still too early.

Slim, but not ethnically slim, even longer people have good length. Can be easily dressed to go to the bar without standing out.

A large size is perfect for me-I am 6 feet 4 inches tall, with slender limbs, and a slim but muscular figure.

It doesn't feel very light, but it's actually not a bad thing for casual wear.

Supersoft-an excellent alternative to Merino wool.

It is more expensive than a basic cotton T-shirt, but cheaper than other technical T-shirts we have tested. The advantage here is that it looks like an ordinary T-shirt, but behaves like a technical shirt.

Is product maintenance easy? How did you react after being washed?

Simple – wash regularly at 30 degrees with all other clothes. After washing a few times, it still looks the same, although some of the letters in the clothes are slightly washed off.

Tell us how the product performs as a whole when used for its design purpose

Perfect performance, suitable for casual use on or off the bicycle, and it feels very good on the skin.

Tell us which aspects of this product you particularly like

Tell us what aspects of the product you particularly dislike

It takes a long time to dry if it gets wet, but I don't use it for high-intensity work, so this is not a problem.

How does the price compare to similar products on the market (including those tested recently on road.cc)?

This makes perfect sense for a beautiful technical T-shirt that looks like it can last a long time. It is cheaper than similar casual T-shirts we tested before, including 7Mesh Desperado Merino Henley and Chapeau!'s Men's Merino SS Base Layer. It also seems to perform better than both.

If you want an excellent base shirt on or off the bike that won't look out of place in the bar garden in summer, then this is a great technical T-shirt. It breathes well, has no peculiar smell, and feels great to wear. The price is also ok.
